Began to study the music of Django Reinhardt in 1978, when he formed a band called ‘Swing Guitars’ and began to promote UK tours for Gypsy guitarists from the Continent.

and has written many magazine articles about Django and other jazz guitarists.

worked extensively with several leading Gypsy Guitarists, bringing many

Leads a trio/quartet, ‘Ian Cruickshank’s Gypsy Jazz’.
Was producer and music co-ordinator for the tv Documentary, ‘Django
Legacy’.
